Data in the sidebar is the team’s data catalog. It lists every dataset and checkpoint your runs recorded, and each one links to the runs that made it and the runs that used it.
Data replaced the old Files page. Workspace files and loose Shared files were retired on 2026-10-16, and /files and /shared now redirect here. The Shared folder stays the home of the team’s datasets. Files recorded on a project, experiment or run are still on that entity’s page — see files on an entity.

Storage

The line beside the heading shows what is Stored in Probe, split into datasets and checkpoints, against your plan’s limit. At the limit it reads Uploads paused. A dataset or checkpoint can also be Kept outside Probe: the catalog records where it lives and its identity, and the bytes stay in your own bucket or on your own machine.

Datasets

The Datasets tab lists one row per dataset: Search matches datasets and the entities they link to. Filter by project, and by type: Team datasets are registered names with versions; Run dataset files are dataset files a run wrote without registering a name. Each row has a download action.

A dataset’s page

The header carries the ref, where the version lives, and Download. A registered dataset can be deleted from its options menu, and a dataset that runs still use is refused with the usage counts. The dataset explorer beside it has two tabs: Files (the version’s files, with previews) and Versions.

Checkpoints

The Checkpoints tab groups saved checkpoints under collapsible experiment and project headings. Hover or focus a heading for a preview of that entity. Filter by project, by Best only, and by where the checkpoint is stored. A checkpoint’s page shows the metrics At this step, with a chart of the monitored metric that marks each saved step. Trained on lists the datasets the run had trained on when it saved, and Started from names the weights it began with. Its Used by tab lists the runs that used it.

Sources

A source is where outside data came from: a Hugging Face dataset or model, a bucket prefix, a URL, a repo. A source’s page has an Overview (URI, license, revision) and a Used by graph of everything downstream of it.

Provenance graphs

A dataset’s Lineage and a source’s Used by are drawn as a small board, using the same cards and arrows as the workspace canvas:
  • Every card carries a type pill: Run, Dataset, Checkpoint, Evaluation, Source, File or Artifact.
  • Columns follow the longest path from the starting card, so arrows point right. An edge that closes a loop is still drawn, pointing back.
  • Drag to pan, and Ctrl/Cmd+scroll to zoom. A plain scroll keeps scrolling the page. Fit fits the whole graph.
  • Hover or focus a card to light its arrows.
Below 1024px the graph becomes a list with the same pills. A graph that reaches items you cannot see says how many, and a cut-off history says so.

Data on a project, experiment or run

When a project, experiment or run has recorded data, its page gets a Data tab. A toggle switches between Uses (the datasets it read, and its Starting weights) and Used by (who used what it made). An entity with no recorded data has no Data tab.
See what a run used.

Files on a project, experiment or run

Files recorded on an entity are in the Files pane beside its Overview. The explorer starts collapsed: each folder level loads 50 entries at a time, with paging, when you open it. Search files matches paths on the server, including folders you have not opened. Clicking a file opens its page. Code and config render as read-only source. Markdown opens in Preview, with Source one action away. Images and other files show a preview where one is available, and every file offers download and its version history.
